Stay: The Ludlow Hotel

March 18, 2017

The Ludlow Hotel — part of the Design Hotels™ collection — is the product of Sean MacPherson, Ira Drukier, and Richard Born’s vision. Collectively, the trio restored and revived this once derelict building after it was deserted following the financial crash. Its solid, red brick skeleton made the perfect frame to house the 175-rooms that reflect and represent the vibrant heritage of the Lower East Side.

Inside echoes the once industrial surroundings, tinted with a comforting boutique-style. Its original factory-sized windows cast the sights and sounds of the city that never sleeps onto a room where you can comfortably lay your head.

Finding excellent food in the Big Apple shouldn't be a problem. Especially when Dirty French handle the hotel's culinary offerings. Part of the Major Food Group, the hotel's in-house kitchen serves classic French-inspired dishes to guests throughout the day.

The Ludlow's lobby is a socialite's wildest dream — attracting the artistic, the innovative and the contemporary. An interior housing vintage-inspired furnishings comes complete with a roaring, limestone fireplace sitting beneath just one of the hotel's many remarkably compelling paintings. This is the perfect backdrop to exchange ideas with the city's creative community over a Parisian-influenced cocktail or two.
