When selling a product and running a brand in our current age, it’s very easy to get caught up in the idea that quantity trumps quality; that metrics are the only indicator of success; that likes and shares and retweets and clicks dictate what you put out into the world. We’d like to think that we’ve always maintained a healthy degree of scepticism on this subject, but in truth, when we sat down to take a good, hard look at what we’re doing with Lagom online, it’s apparent we’ve actually found ourselves sucked into that mentality to a degree. And we’ve decided to change that.
Today we’re announcing the Lagom patronage subscription: a way of showing your support for the publication that will help us continue to run the magazine in an honest, meaningful way. It’s open to anyone, but aimed at small studios looking to provide inspiration for their teams and get a little exposure in the process.
From the day we launched the magazine, we’ve aimed to keep shipping costs simple and fair by offering a flat fee of £4 to anywhere in the world. However, after some number-crunching, we’ve decided that it’s time to update our shipping costs.
Christmas time is here again, so we felt it was a good opportunity to put together a selection of awesome products from people and brands we've included in past issues. If you're looking for unique gifts that are a bit more special than what you can get on the high street, look no further, and find out about the makers in the process.
We thought you might like to know that in exactly one week today, our fifth issue will be available to purchase online right here from our website and will hit the shelves of shops all over the world shortly after.
